DD 2.1 Documentation

DD 2.0 Release Overview

DD 2.0 is a major release with stricter enforcement of standard field names, types and lookups. It introduces an updated certification framework and a formal process for handling field name variations.

Certification Testing Stages

DD 2.0 certification involves four testing stages:

1. Metadata Validation

Verify server metadata matches expected schema structure

2. Variations Report

Map local field names to standard names using variation strategies

3. Sampling & Data Availability

Check that advertised fields contain actual data

4. Schema Validation

Confirm field types, lengths and lookups match the standard

Variation Matching

Five strategies are used to match local field names to Data Dictionary standard names:

  1. Exact match on standard name
  2. Case-insensitive match
  3. Match on display name or synonym
  4. Fuzzy match using edit distance
  5. Manual mapping via configuration
